Caterpillar chains

Using green paper cut strips into 2" by 8 1/2". Have the children glue them together to make a paper chain caterpillar. If desired, a circle can be glued on the "front" of the chain as the caterpillar's head.

the little fuzzy caterpillar

The little fuzzy caterpillar curled up on a leaf (crook your finger like a caterpillar, then place it on the palm of your other hand like it is a leaf)

spun her little chrysalis and then fell fast asleep (make a circular motion with finger then fold hands together to designate "sleeping")

While she was sleeping, she dreamed that she could fly (flap your arms like wings)

And later when she woke up, 

she was a butterfly(hook thumbs together to make a butterfly flying motion)
