Fingerplays and Rhymes:
Five little gingerbread boys/girls all in a row,
Each with frosting and a big red bow.
You can't catch me! one did say
And that little gingerbread boy/girl ran away!
Four little....
Three little....
Two little....
One little gingerbread boy/girl ready to go says:
Run, run as fast as you can!
You can't catch me! I'm the gingerbread man!
Bye, bye!
(Idea: choose five children to act out this rhyme as you say it. Repeat until all the children have had a chance.)
Gingerbread
Stir a bowl of gingerbread (make stirring motion)
Smooth and spicy brown.
Roll it with a rolling pin
Up and up and down.
With a cookie cutter
Make some little men,
Put them in the oven
Until half past ten.
